Amber is a regular public lecturer and has spoken at a wide range of institutions including the National Gallery, Tate Britain, BAFTA, British Museum, British Film Institute, The National Archives, Wellcome Collection, British Library, Institute for Contemporary Arts, Fashion & Textile Museum, National Maritime Museum, Science Museum, Museum of the Home, SHOWstudio, Stylist Live, the Institute of Historical Research & the Royal Academy of Arts.
She has programmed and hosted events for the Design Museum, conducted numerous 'in conversation' talks at the V&A, and is a seasoned host of panel discussions from Cheltenham Literature Festival to the Royal Albert Hall. International speaking events include the Founder's Lecture at the Bata Shoe Museum in Toronto, Fashion Forward Dubai, INSTART studio in Hangzhou, the Fashion for Action conference in Kyiv, Dallas Museum of Art, Depot Boijmans in Rotterdam, and the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne, Australia.
Amber is a former Research Fellow at the University of the Arts London, and teaches cultural and historical studies at undergraduate and postgraduate level at London College of Fashion. As a Visiting Lecturer she has spoken at the Royal College of Art, NYU London, Fashion Institute of Technology New York, Royal School of Needlework, University for the Creative Arts, Northern School of Art, Central School of Speech and Drama, Polimoda Fashion School in Florence, and the Universities of Portsmouth, Plymouth, Brighton and Gothenburg, Sweden.
